January 2019 Newsletter

Dear Early Music Friends,

Here’s our January newsletter. I am also attaching the flyer for the Winter Party. Thank you to our soupe volunteers; we could use a few more! Let me know if you would like to bring soupe. Mark is putting together the musical program; please get the information about what you will be playing to him by January 7th. Doris is keeping track of party guests; please let her know who you will be bringing and include yourself. She’ll be adding to her list at the chapter meeting on January 8th. Looking forward to our fun winter events!

Victorian Christmas in Nevada City

Image result for nevada cityThe Nevada City Recorder Society welcomes other players to join us for any of the five days of Victorian Christmas. We play for the first hour of each day: Sundays Dec. 9, 16, and 23 at 1:30 and Wednesday Dec. 12 and 19 at 5:00.  We meet at on the boardwalk on Commercial Street between Pine and Coyote streets, just up the hill from the food court. Costumes are optional.  We provide music, mostly easy four-part carols.  Afterward enjoy the crafts, food, hot mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, and atmosphere of a town that really is right out of a Hallmark movie (The Christmas Card). For more information please see the event website or contact Kathryn at kacanan@yahoo.com.

I have also attached a membership form. Please complete and send to Doris, accompanied by your dues, or bring it and your dues to the September meeting.

Please note that next month I will be asking for newsletter information early, on September 10.
