Frances Blaker Virtual Workshop

The South Bay Recorder Society Presents a Virtual Workshop:

English and German Renaissance Part-song… plus a little Bach

Saturday, March 11th, 2023, on Zoom 10:45 am-2 pm

Cost: $50

We’ll play music from the late 1400’s up to early 1600’s by anonymous (Glogauer Liederbuch), Ludwig Senfl, Robert Cooper and Thomas Campian. These pieces are varied in their style, character and complexity so there will be something for everyone. All the while I’ll throw in bits of advice for better tone, fleeter fingers, getting enough air, varied articulation, etc. We’ll cap it all off with Bach’s Prelude no. 4 from the Clavierbüchlein.

The zoom meeting will open at 10:30, with the workshop beginning at 10:45.

Lunch will be from 12:00 to 12:45, with the afternoon session running from 12:45 to 2:00 PM.
