The Mountain Collegium family has decided to hold both an in-person workshop at Western Carolina University June 26-July 2 AND an online workshop via Zoom June 16-19. In both cases, there are some amazing faculty and extraordinary class choices.
The online workshop is now open for registration.
Visit www.mountaincollegium.org and click on “Online Workshop” to get to all the details.
The topics are engaging and varied and the classes will be led by some of the most sought-after early music teachers you know. It’s quite a bargain, too!
The schedule offers opportunities in folk music, recorder, viol, pennywhistle, harp, and other wind instruments. Many of the topics also work for singers.
We will continue offering a program for emerging recorder players, so we encourage musicians who’ve just started learning the recorder to get a taste of the workshop experience. Emerging classes are also open to participants at any level—and you very well may be interested once you see the class descriptions.
We anticipate opening registration for our in-person workshop next week, so hold tight if that’s what you’re waiting for. Meanwhile, don’t forget you can attend both!
I look forward to seeing you this summer!
